Barnes Creek Ranch

Beautiful New Home Built in Hall, MT

When you look for the perfect spot and find it, I think it must envelope you with visions of the future and consciously, you’ve already decided – ‘this is it’!There’s a beautiful place in Montana I now have the pleasure of knowing. In Hall, MT sits a home that comforts a wonderful couple along an aspen lined creek that trickles down from the Flint Creek Range - the Barnes Creek Ranch. This client owned a special place in Wyoming, but the desire to acquire a piece of property where the wide-open landscape could invite their family to build next door and would allow them to navigate in any direction for an adventure led them to Hall, MT where they did say – ‘this is it’!

THE DETAILS

We worked closely to create a living environment with colors and materials that brought the outside in, and infused colors that resonated to their personal unique preferences.

We paid homage to Montana, known for its world class fly fishing by incorporating wallpaper with fishing flies and paired this feature with a beautiful herringbone porcelain tile pattern in teal. By grounding the space with a solid rust-colored board and batten, this space came together and incorporated two of the owners’ favorite colors.

It took some successful collaborating to find the perfect birch bark wallcovering to accent the ‘picture perfect’ windows in the dining space that look out at the Flint Creek Mountain Range. This space will host so many wonderful meals and stories and have just a touch of the outdoors inside.

The owners have a fabulous art collection that not only inspires but also supports so much talent in and around Wyoming, Montana and surrounding areas. Their home is a perfect backdrop to showcase such wonderful pieces!

In the kitchen, we used a beautiful green on the cabinets along with a burnt sugar stain on alder to create a space that’s lively and feels like the comforts of nature. With two islands for entertaining and crafts with grandchildren, this space will quickly become the favorite spot for all activities in the home.
